An excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a leading service provider based in their Belfast offices. Reporting to the Financial Director with 4 direct reports your main duties will include:

• Oversee the processing of all sales invoices, supplier invoices, and all payroll activity
• Registering all contracts and grants and classifying between general and restricted reserves
• Ensuring appropriate governance checks over all data processing, data recording, journals and cash payments are in place
• Ensuring appropriate governance checks and reconciliations of all balance sheet records
• Leading on Cash flow monitoring and forecasting and all investment and treasury functions
• Ensuring all fixed assets are appropriately recorded, monitored, safeguarded, depreciated and/or expensed
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts, managing the annual audits and liaising with external auditors in respect of same
• Liaising with internal auditors and addressing all recommendations as required
• Develop and co-ordinate the delivery of training to managers in respect of financial policies and procedures and ensure these are clearly understood across the organisation
• Directing and managing staff within the Finance team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
• Daily management & regular supervision of direct reports to include daily queries, appraisals and annual reviews. Seek to develop teams and individuals to improve performance and meet objectives

Essential Criteria

• Qualified graduate at CIMA, ACA or ACCA level
• 5 years' experience in a similar role with experience of managing a team
• Proven experience in supporting strategic planning and organisational development
