Staffline are recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager on behalf of a leading construction company based in their Ballymena site. Reporting to the Managing Director your main duties will include;
- Ensure the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation and effectively managing all health and safety risks and hazards
- Implement practical and effective methods of ensuring safe working practices and promoting a strong health & safety workplace culture
- Creating and implementing H&S monitoring systems and policies
- Ensuring all necessary risk assessments are in place, creating and maintaining these and ensuring these are both to required standards and reviewed/updated as required.
- Provide professional health and safety advice to managers and employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards
- Advising on statutory training requirements, identifying areas where training/certification is required ensuring they are legally compliant
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and implement changes where required
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role is essential, ideally in a construction/civil engineering environment
- Qualification in occupational health & safety such as a masters, BSc, or NEBOSH National Diploma
- A strong understanding of up to date H&S legislation
