Quality Manager

Belfast

Salary up to £50,000 plus bonus

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join an exciting and innovative manufacturing company new to NI. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will have the opportunity to develop the plant's quality practices, procedures and systems. Main duties will include:

• Maintenance, development and implementation of both Quality ISO 9001 and DPG management systems.
• Manage the incoming materials for quality, trial protocols and assessments
• Manage the Customer and Supplier quality performance via liaison, audits and complaints received
• Manage any associated cost and budgetary controls for the Northern Ireland quality department.
• Manage and develop the skills and ability of the Quality team.
• Proactively reduce customer complaints.
• Introduction of preventive quality techniques.
• Ensure robust containment, corrective and preventive actions are in place.
• Manage the control of the QA lab including calibration.
• Ensure a proactive selection and sourcing of automated gauging is in place.
• Ensure Implementation of robust, user friendly, quality measures.
• Manage and respond to customer audits in a timely fashion with robust corrective and preventive actions.
• Proactively manage Customer interfaces.

Essential Criteria

• 3 years managing quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of SPC, 5 's', capability studies, ISO, audits, FMEA and food safety
• Proficient in the use of SAP and MS Office suite
