Job description

Accounts Support Assistant

This Job Description is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar level and nature may be required from time to time.

  • Update Financial Spreadsheet with monthly invoices and ensure predicted spend matches indicated purchase order value.
  • Review all current spend throughout the month and explain cost variances.
  • Prepare monthly Fixed Income invoices and ensure timely billing and recovery for month end while liaising with client.
  • Review on a monthly basis project works ensuring those completed are verified by all parties and invoiced on a timely basis.
  • Track and reconcile WIP (Works in Progress) and Debt explaining variances and any outstanding queries.
  • Compare month end transaction reports against budget cost and investigate differences.
  • Predict accruals for forthcoming year using both historical data and input from FM Managers and ensure the correct purchase orders are in place.
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation
  • Liaise with the procurement team all accounts payable teams both in house and externally to ensure that invoices are billed and received on time.
  • Support the Accounts Director as and when requested.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in a finance/management role
  • Mathematical skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Qualification and experience in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
