Age Friendly Coordinator

Newry

Temporary

The Client: Local Public body based in Newry, serving local residents.

Key Responsibilities:

The Age Friendly Co-ordinator will be responsible for the coordination of activities of the partners engaged in the Age Friendly Strategic Alliance to ensure objectives and targets are met and effective integrated planning achieved. In doing so, the post holder will develop and deliver an action plan, to improve health, wellbeing, and quality of life for older persons in the District. In achieving this the postholder will be supported by the Public Health Agency (PHA).

Requirements:

  • Please demonstrate that you have a minimum of a Level 4* qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, in line with the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)). AND Please demonstrate by providing examples, 1 year's work experience in successfully managing and delivering a variety of health and/or community development-based projects, with external agencies. OR If you DO NOT hold qualification: Please demonstrate, by providing examples, that you have 2 years' work experience in successfully managing and delivering a variety of health and/or community development-based projects, with external agencies
  • If you hold the qualification stated in question 1please demonstrate by providing examples, 1 year's work experience of developing and managing key partnerships and/or forums. If you DO NOT hold the qualification stated in question 1a please demonstrate, by providing examples, that you have 2 years' work experience of developing and managing key partnerships and/or forums
  • If you hold the qualification stated in question 1 please demonstrate by providing examples, 1 year's work experience in report writing and making appropriate recommendations. If you DO NOT hold the qualification stated in question 1a please demonstrate, by providing examples, that you have 2 years' work experience in report writing and making appropriate recommendations
  • Please demonstrate, by providing examples, your experience of working on the development and implementation of funded projects
  • Please demonstrate your competence in use of e-mail and Microsoft applications including word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Please confirm you hold a full current driving licence and access to transport, or access to transport to meet the requirements of the post
  • Please confirm you are able to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and public/bank holidays
