AMBULANCE CLEANING OPERATIVE
Staffline are currently recruiting for several temporary full time Ambulance Cleansing Operatives within their Belfast depots. All applicants must be fully flexible to work a 24/7 rota. Only applicants with a C1 driving licence will be considered for this role.
The job purpose is to provide and maintain a safe, clean and cared for environment, for of the benefit of the patients transported by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the deep cleaning of Northern Ireland Ambulance Service vehicles.
The successful candidate will be expected to clean ambulances (both internally and externally), the ambulance station or satellite stations inline with the National Patient Safety Authority guidelines and following guidelines implemented by NIAS. This responsibility also extends to ensure that all cleaning records are completed accurately and correctly.
You will be required to re-fuel ambulances and occasionally re position and return by public transport.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To work in line with the Trusts Infection Prevention and Control policy
To perform deep cleaning (internal & external) of NIAS vehicles
To restock all vehicles using an agreed vehicle equipment check lists
Report any concerns regarding vehicle cleaning to your Line Manager
To ensure that the appropriate Lifting and Handling techniques are applied as per training when moving and handling equipment
Good interpersonal skills, with a caring and polite manner
Must have a valid UK driving licence with C1 and no more than 3 penalty points
Must be receptive to new ideas and have a willingness to accept change
Have the ability to work as part of a team and to work on own initiative
Must be able to move and hand equipment
Have previous driving experience of working in the area they are to be employed
A Reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft software
Be PC literate, and have good numeracy skills
