Band 2 Clerical Officer / Receptionist required for a large public sector organisation based through the Belfast Trust.
Location: Mater Hospital / City Hospital
Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY / MAIN PURPOSE:
The post holder will provide administrative and clerical support and will also include typing duties if applicable to an assigned service group.
Candidates must be willing to participate in shift working including long days, weekends, Bank holidays
Main duties/Responsibilities:
The post holder will:
- Using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive Systems (PACS) within Imaging in Belfast Trust, register referrals in line with Integrated Elective Access Policy(IEAP) and department protocols.
- Liaise with client, staff and departments internal and external to the Trust to ensure full and efficient service.
- Participate in general office duties in accordance with local Policies & Procedures, i.e. filing, photocopying and data entry or typing if applicable.
- Provide admin cover at Imaging reception desks behaving in accordance with Trust Values
- Make and receive telephone calls and take appropriate action.
- Open, distribute and re-direct mail as appropriate.
- In line with Trust policy participate in Trust staff reviews and ensure personal Mandatory training up to date.
- Be willing to participate in shift working including long days, weekends, Bank holidays
- Maintain standards of confidentiality regarding all information held in respect of service users and staff.
- Provide cover for staff during periods of sick/annual leave.
- To deal with day-to-day queries as appropriate.
- To assist in training of other staff, as necessary
- Perform any other duties as appropriate when required
Essential criteria:
4 GCSE's at grade C or above to include English Language or equivalent qualification. OR NVQ Level II in Administration.
OR A minimum of one year's administrative clerical experience AND The flexibility to work in a changing environment. Availability to work an extended working day and to work over the weekend period where required
