JOB SUMMARY / MAIN PURPOSE:
Innovation and Market Development Project Officer for a large public sector organisation based through the Belfast Trust. will be responsible to the Innovation and Market Development Manager. They will work under the direction of the Innovation and Market Development Managers range of Project implementation and application activities and will take responsibility within their level of delegated authority, for the delivery of various elements of comprehensive and complex project plans, along with general support duties within the programme.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Delivery
Act as first point of contact for all enquiries from project stakeholders i.e. external suppliers, Invest NI, & HSC, DfE, DoH staff. The post holder will be required to resolve day to day problems independently and escalate issues that they cannot resolve
Maintain effective working relationships and appropriate communication networks with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation and present a professional image appropriate to the service
Ensure all meetings are organised for the department, including but not limited to; facilitate meetings including the preparation and timely issue of agenda, minutes and follow up actions. Of note, some of the attendees from the meetings may be based outside of Northern Ireland and will require videoconferencing facilities operating in parallel
Provide a full range of administrative support to Innovation and Market Development Manager. This will include diary management, correspondence management, file maintenance and travel arrangements as required
Conferences may be required to be organised by the post holder, and can include flights, venue, catering, hotels, speakers & presentations etc.; all to be organised within budget
Utilise a range of software packages in the performance of the post including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and specialist software i.e. FPL & HRPTS ensuring a high degree of technical skills such as running reports, investigating systems, data analysis etc
Development and Innovation
Contribute to the development and continuous review of the service, identify opportunities for improvements or risks and feed back to Innovation and Market Development Manager. Assist Innovation and Market Development Manager with the short and long-term operational planning to ensure service delivery on all current and future projects
Assist Innovation and Market Development Manager produce Post Project Evaluations (PPE), gather and collate project information, organise stakeholder post[1]project workshops to ensure shared learning
Present project updates within Team Meetings, Governance Group Meetings and Directorate Team Meetings
Collate information/ documents as needed for Senior Innovation and Market Development Manager to present at PLT/ relevant Governance For a
Be commercially aware in relation to innovation to help advise future service development
Maintain close relationships with DfE, SIB, Innovation Teams, and PaLS Procurement teams.

Essential criteria
Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms, either:
1a. University degree or equivalent AND 1-year experience in a relevant field e.g. project management, finance, administration, information management or information technology
OR
1b. 3 years' experience in a relevant field e.g. business studies, finance, administration, information management or information technology
AND
2. Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment
