Band 3 Bank Administration Assistant required on a temporary basis based in Ballymoney

Role: Band 3 Bank Administration Assistant

Rate of Pay: £10.40 per hour

Location: Ballymoney

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Duration: Temporary(month to month basis)

Main duties/Responsibilities:

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day administration function of the Nursing and Midwifery Bank department supporting the activities associated with the bank office. This will involve booking suitably qualified and experiences staff and working with the bank team to provide an effective and efficient temporary service to the wards/departments and bank staff, providing a high quality service and will liaise with the range of internal and external personnel. The post holder must be able to work on own initiative.



  • To assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the Trust wide bank to service Medical, Surgical, Community, Maternity, Children's and Mental Health Services.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team.
  • Develop and maintain good communication with ward and department re bank and e-rostering related issues.
  • Communicate with others using a range of tools i.e. e-mail, phone and text.
  • Ensure text lists are up to date on database
  • Creates spreadsheets and database for internal and external communication regarding shifts requests
  • Liaises appropriately with Directorates and agencies.
  • Exchange sensitive information from a range of stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Photocopying duties as required and maintenance of departmental documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality within and outside the workplace at all times.
  • Use Trust and Departmental technology in line with the Trusts Information Management and Technology Strategy.
  • Communicate with staff regarding training requirements

Essential Criteria:

5 GSCE'S (Grades A-C) or equivalent to include English


NVQ Level 2 in Administration


1 years administrative experience in an office environment within the last 3 years.

Experience in the use of Windows based software to include Excel, Word and Outlook
