HR Officer Band 3



The Client: Local Public body based in Armagh, serving local residents.

The Role:

  • Take primary responsibility for the processing of specifically allocated flexible staffing requests (Bank / Agency), from receipt of an approved requisition (or other appropriately authorised form) through to commencement of staff. This will include liaising directly with Trust managers as well as the Recruitment Shared Service Centre (RSSC) when required.
  • Be responsible for the checking, processing and management of all requisitions received into the Resourcing Team through the HRPTS E-Recruitment system, ensuring onward transfer to the relevant processing team in the Trust or in RSSC.
  • Act as a main contact point for line managers, in relation to day-today queries about resourcing issues, providing sound advice on processes and referring to senior staff when required.
  • Carry out verifications checks for Workforce Appeal candidates who have been offer temporary posts.
  • Support managers with all aspects of the HRPTS E-Recruitment system, providing timely guidance and signposting to relevant support documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of communications to Trust managers, including guidance documents, checklists and toolkits.
  • Ensure all Agency engagements within the Trust are processed in line with the relevant regional Framework in place.
  • Contribute to maintaining, updating and filing departmental records, both electronic and manual (including for example E-Recruitment, bank database, recruitment files and personal files).
  • Take responsibility for monitoring a shared departmental e-mail account, responding to emails in a timely way or forwarding to senior staff when required.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday: 9.00am - 5.00pm


  • 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 years' experience in a clerical / administrative role OR 2 years' experience in a clerical / administrative role.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft office products including Word and Excel or equivalent.
  • Previous Human Resources experience preferable (but not essential).
