Job description

Staffline Recruitment has been appointed as HSCNI's recruitment partner of choice for Admin, clerical and Support Services.

Band 4 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Crafts-person Joiner

Rate of Pay: £11.20

Location: Ulster Hospital Dundonald

Hours: 37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30

Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary:

Working within the Trust's Estates Service Team, the purpose of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Crafts-person (Joiner) role, is to carry out a wide range of planned and unplanned tasks, ensuring the safe, effective and economic installation and maintenance of the Trust's engineering systems and physical assets.

Experience:

  • Experience of carrying out joinery and building maintenance repairs.
  • Experience in the use of woodworking machinery and hand / power tools.
  • Experience of undertaking tasks of other engineering / Building trade groups.

Qualifications:

Completed a formal Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship.

In addition to his/her apprenticeship, the applicant must hold a relevant qualification at QCF/NQF Level 3 (or higher) together with a minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience (*) OR at QCF/NQF Level 2 (or higher) together with a minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience (*)

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.

Skills & Abilities:

The personal skills required to manage day-to-day activities that occur in a maintenance environment. 2. The ability to best use Safe Systems of Work.

Knowledge:

Working knowledge of maintenance activities in a healthcare building environment. 2. Working knowledge and experience in the use of woodworking machinery and hand/ power tools 3. Working knowledge of fire Compart mentation within buildings. 4. Working knowledge and experience of undertaking tasks of other engineering / Building trade groups.
