Big 4 Accountant - Corporate Law Firm

At Staffline Recruitment we are seeking to recruit a big 4 trained Accountant on behalf of our client, an international corporate law firm with Dublin City Centre offices.

The Financial Accountant will be based within the firm's Financial Accounting and Reporting team and will have primary responsibility for managing the distribution of profit share to the Equity Partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Process EP profit distributions (and all associated steps) as required during the year, providing the EPs with distributed / undistributed profit advices, while simultaneously maintaining the underlying profit share distribution file(s) and workings.
  • Responsible for communicating any changes to EP monthly drawings to HR (annually).
  • Prepare all inputs and underlying tax analysis in relation to the various tax returns and filings the firm and associated entities are required to file in Ireland, the UK and US
  • Preparing EP profit share statements for individual EP tax returns annually (liaising with firm's tax advisors and partners in the process) and partnership Form 1
  • Compile accounts for UK branch to support the filing of its UK Branch tax return, reviewing of tax computation and liaising with the firm's UK tax advisors in relation to tax payments due
  • Preparing monthly partners profit share / employee salaries analysis (and all associated steps i.e., journal posting, reconciling salaries control account monthly), reporting variances to budget to the CFO as part of monthly management accounts review meeting
  • Responsible for preparing staff salaries / partners profit share section of the annual Budget and revisions through Forecast during the year
  • Preparing financial statements for associated entities
  • Other Finance tasks and projects as required by the CFO from time to time

Interested candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Big 4 qualified ACA, ACCA with financial services experience while training and 1- 2 years post qualified experience (PQE) highly desirable
  • Strong academic track record
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the energy and drive to contribute to and improve processes while resolving problems under own direction
  • Effective communicator with excellent oral communication skills combined with strong, clear and concise report writing abilities
  • A precise approach to work with meticulous attention to detail
  • A high level of systems proficiency, especially with the Microsoft Office suite
