Building Maintenance Supervisor

The Client: Local Public body based in Newry, serving local residents.

The role:

The postholder is responsible for the provision of the Council's Building Maintenance Services, Burials/Cemeteries Services and the provision of maintenance to amenity areas, play areas and open spaces. The post holder will laterally share responsibility with other Supervisors for delivery of all Maintenance services.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Requirements:

A third level qualification to at least HNC Level in Building related area eg. Building services, building engineering, building surveying

AND

At least 2 years management experience in a building related area

OR

In lieu of a relevant third level qualification a minimum of 3 years experience in a construction related field

2 years experience in the direct supervision of staff

1 years experience in the management of sub contractors

Competent in the use of MS Office

Knowledge of basic surveying

Be able to work outside normal working hours including evening meetings etc

In Return: Rates of pay £14.63 per hour
