Business Development Executive

We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Executive to join the team with one of our clients based in Magherafelt to assist with the development of sales opportunities, using industry sources and organising quality meetings for the external teams with targeted customer groups.


The Successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Updating the company CRM system.
  • Identify new projects by scrutinizing Barbour ABI and planning leads.
  • Setting up meetings for our external sales team
  • Co-ordinating CPD presentations with targeted customer groups
  • Contract new and current customers to gain new business projects
  • Scrutinise planning leads for new sales opportunities
  • Use LinkedIn to identify potential new business targets
  • Follow up on website enquiries to gain new business leads
  • Follow up on mailers where customers have clicked and opened the emails to gain new business
  • Providing regular support, the area sales teams
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's policies including Health and Safety

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE's including English and Maths grades A- C
  • Enjoy a challenge, be persistent and driven to succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Be driven by a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be confident and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Good creative skills with an ability to develop ideas
  • Ability to manage several tasks concurrently and meet multiple project deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team without constant supervision

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree / working towards a degree with a Business/ Marketing specialism
  • Business development experience
  • Knowledge of the construction industry
  • Telephone selling/ tele marketing experience
  • CRM experience
  • Experience working with Barbour ABI or Glenigans
  • Experience of using LinkedIn to identify customers to develop brand awareness
  • Experience dealing with Architects and Engineers in relation to product specification
  • Hold a valid driving licence

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday - 8.30 to 5pm

Salary:

  • Negotiable depending on experience
