Business Development Manager
Staffline Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client within the hospitality sector for a Business Development Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career with a forward thinking, dynamic company who owns 2 hotels and are hoping to expand. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets from the following markets - Local & Global Corporate, Meetings, Events, Conferencing & Leisure.
Responsibilities:
- Generating business for the hotels
- Maximise all revenue streams throughout the hotels
- Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and sales trips
- Plan & implement annual marketing expenditure focussing on overall business
- Plan and implement social media strategies to create brand awareness and engagement with existing and new customers to ultimately grow the business and increase trade
- Researching and developing new social media strategies
- Plan and implement email marketing strategy and customer relationship management
- Plan and implement an e-commerce strategy to grow the business and increase trade
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity
- Monitoring forthcoming business on the books, being aware of peaks and valley periods, and where gains can be made
- Any other duties role may involve
Person Specification:
- 4 years sales/business development experience in hospitality industry
- Strong influencing and communication skills with a passion for hospitality
- Excellent interpersonal skills including well developed presentation and negotiation skills
- Self motivated and exercise a proactive approach, with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient with content management system
The Rewards
The successful Business Development Manager will enjoy a competitive salary circa up to £50,000 depending on experience plus bonus.
