Job description

Band 5 Business Support Administrator required on a temporary basis based in Business Support Organisation - Franklin Street, Belfast

Role: Band 5 Business Support Administrator

Rate of Pay: £11.66 per hour

Location: Business Support Organisation - Franklin Street, Belfast

Hours: 37.5 (mon - fri)

Duration: 2 Months

Main duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business services to the organisation and external customers based upon managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI), maximising efficiency and overall effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers and provide advice on all BST issues and support in a prompt and efficient manner.

  • Utilise a range of software packages in the performance of the post including email, word, excel, powerpoint, specialist software (FPL, HRPTS, Interpreting Services, Infra, BOXI etc) ensuring a high degree of technical skills.

  • Establish effective communication links with other shared services teams to ensure business needs are achieved on an on-going basis.

  • Manage and monitor security and authorisation records identifying and addressing areas of concern, potential data breaches/risks and raising where necessary.

  • Create, develop and facilitate a suite of Shared Services and Management reports.

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with HSC customers, Team Leaders, Section Managers and Centre Team members.

  • Contribute to the development and deliver a range of communication interventions, including reports for senior management, Functional Specialists and other team leaders, following on from information provided by team members.

Essential Criteria:

  • A University Degree


  • Administrative experience extending over at least 4 years

  • Six months experience within an ICT systems management or systems administration role.
  • Experience in producing management reports using range of Microsoft applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint extending over at least 12 months.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Have a confident telephone manner and good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on their own initiative.
