Salary £30,000 to £35,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join one of NI's leading manufacturing employers based in their Lisburn site. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will assist with all areas of the purchasing department. Your main duties will include:

• Raise and expedite purchase orders
• Ensure any purchase order invoice queries are resolved quickly
• Undertake supplier negotiations to ensure appropriate and cost-effective solutions are achieved
• Compile supplier analysis reports and data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
• Conduct research for new components and suppliers
• Provide analysis on costs, new and existing
• Engage with relevant stakeholders to review and challenge engineering specifications with the purpose of developing appropriate procurement strategies to support the business needs

Essential Criteria

• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Previous experience of placing orders and managing suppliers and supply chain issues
• Experience within a similar role within manufacturing
• An ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and within tight deadlines
