Job Description
CNC Programmer/Operator - Jans Composites - Full Time
Jans Composites is a global, industry leader in developing lightweight, durable, cost-effective GRP products. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a CNC Programmer/Operator to join the team. This role requires set up, programming and operating the CNC Milling Machine to produce high quality products to required tolerances and specifications.
Working hours:
- 4 day week: Monday - Thursday (Evening Shift)
- Hours of Work: Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 2.30am & Thursday 4.30pm - 2am (37.5 hrs per week)
Rate of pay:
Up to £13.50 ph + shift allowance
- Duration of Post: Full Time, Ongoing
- Free car park, pension, holiday pay
Duties:
- Demonstrate an ability to set datums
- Create & Load new program into the machine using PowerMill Autodesk software
- Demonstrate tool setting ability
- Load machines safely
- Alter offsets correctly
- Ability to calibrate probe
- Pick up a point in the program to re-run the program
- Identifying process issues and track progress
- Working on own initiative to resolve any issues impacting upon your performance
- Understanding customer deliverables and the impact of failure and cost of poor quality
- Take responsibility for quality, quantity and inspection of work performed
Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years' experience programming and operating CNC Milling machinery
- Basic Math skills including ability to use tape measure and calipers
- Experience with PowerMill Autodesk software
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively
- Health and safety awareness
- Reliable and punctual with a positive can-do attitude
