Job description
Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Coleraine require a Community Development Officer to join their team.
Role : Community Development Officer
Location : Cloonavin Coleraine / WFH
Hours of work : 37 hrs per week Monday
Hourly Rate : 1-12 weeks £14.31 13 weeks + £16.06
Main Duties :
- Provide developmental and governance support to community organisations which own and manage community facilities (Council or community owned).
- Provide developmental and business support to help develop local community facilities through support with financial planning, funding bids and assistance with preparation of business cases.
- Maximise access to and use of community facilities by engaging with local communities and other relevant partners with the aim of developing community centres as hubs of community activity.

Essential Duties :
- A third level academic qualification and a minimum of 2 years' experience of each of:
- Two or more of the following: project development, managing enterprise, managing community facilities, community development, plus
- Strategy development and implementation plus
- Project management
OR
- A minimum of 4 years' experience of:
- Two or more of the following: project development, managing enterprise, managing community facilities, community development, plus
- Strategy development and implementation plus
- Project management.
- An understanding of the legislative framework governing the work of the department.
- Understanding of issues impacting on service delivery.
- Computer literacy - ability to use a wide variety of computer programmes, eg word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint.
A current full driving licence valid in the UK and access to a car or *have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post
