Job description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Service Delivery
    • Support the Marketing and Digital Coordinators in the delivery of council's communications and marketing strategy.
    • Support development of Council's social media profiles with responsibility for developing engaging digital content to support campaigns.
    • Generate high-quality, well-designed and engaging digital marketing content and evaluate the effectiveness of digital channels in the context of strategic objectives and campaigns..
    • Create engaging video content for use on social media channels. Managing the production process from start to finish, using existing, new and mobile techniques.
    • Work in conjunction with the wider communications team, to react appropriately to emerging situations, as part of the Covid response.
    • Monitor interaction on campaign content displayed on our social channels, responding and reporting as required.
    • Plan, deliver and review online advertising and promotional practices including PPC (pay-per-click), SEO (search engine optimisation) and social media ads manager programmes, with a view to maximising and monitoring return on investment.
    • Track, report, and analyse website analytics to identify trends and insights in order to ensure maximum efficiency of our website and the best possible user experience.
    • Develop and maintain campaign content on company website through a dedicated CMS by regularly sourcing, editing, writing and optimising content to achieve campaign and strategic objectives.
    • Keep under review new developments and emerging technologies in all fields relevant to the post holder's responsibilities and make recommendations to senior officers as appropriate.
    • Any appropriate duties that will contribute to the purpose and function of this post and will be identified by the Marketing and Design Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;

Applicants must possess a minimum of a third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as marketing, digital marketing, PR/Advertising.

AND

Be able to demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples that they have at least two years' experience in the field of marketing, digital marketing, PR/Advertising to include:

  • a proven ability in Digital marketing;
  • a proven ability in SEO/SEM;
  • a proven ability in Website content management;
  • a proven ability to produce high quality and engaging video content; and
  • social media management, monitoring tools and analytical packages.

Alternatively consideration may be given to candidates who do not possess the required educational qualifications but who can demonstrate four years' in the field of marketing, digital marketing, PR/Advertising to include:

  • a proven ability in Digital marketing;
  • a proven ability in SEO/SEM;
  • a proven ability in Website content management;
  • a proven ability to produce high quality and engaging video content; and
  • social media management, monitoring tools and analytical packages.
