Customer Care Assistant with Cleaning duties - Carrickfergus Area - 8phw - 9.62ph

8 hours per week, Friday and Saturday*, 8am - 12 noon or 9am - 1pm (*Saturday hours will be paid at weekend enhancement rate of x1.5)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for the day-to-day caretaking and cleaning services of the Carrickfergus Marina, public building, public toilets, open space and car park area.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the Air-de-service area at Carrickfergus, welcoming customers and issuing keys.

Responsible for the day-to-day caretaking and cleaning services of the public toilets, open space and car park area at Carrickfergus Marina.

Adhere to all aspects of health and safety, ensuring safe operation of users and members of the public.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Service Delivery

• Ensure a high standard of excellence in customer service and building appearance through general cleaning, including offices, reception and berth holders refreshment areas, toilets, showers, washrooms and laundry etc. in line with relevant legislation and procedures.

• Carry out laundry serviced washes for customers

• Assist with conference room bookings including preparation of refreshments and cleaning as required

• Update work schedules and keep accurate records of work where appropriate.

• Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are correctly stored

• Report minor works required to keep the building and facilities in good repair to the Customer Care Assistant.

• Report any health and safety risks to members of the public or employees to the Customer Care Assistant.

• Direct public to appropriate facilities i.e. meeting rooms/marina facilities.

Essential Criteria;

Applicants must:

• have a minimum of grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths

AND

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have 1 years' experience to include:

• caretaking duties
• cleaning duties
• working with the general public in a customer focused environment

OR, for candidates who do not meet the qualification requirements as outlined above:

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have 2 years' experience to include:

• caretaking duties
• cleaning duties
• working with the general public in a customer focused environment
