Digital Content Officer - Antrim - Ongoing Temporary - 37hpw - £14.63ph

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Digital Content Officer will support the delivery of the Council's Marketing and Communications Strategy. This post will shape and drive the Council's online content and digital presence via proactive development and engagement across existing and new online channels, including social media.

JOB DUTIES;

Manage online presence across social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) including the development and execution of content strategy to reflect the Council's Corporate Plan.

Set the strategic direction of each social media channel to ensure appropriate content, messaging, tone and consistency for each persona, in line with the Council's communications strategy.

Work with the Communications team and Council service areas to develop, manage and evaluate annual content plans - making necessary adjustments when required.

Manage digital content projects including organic and paid advertising on social media channels and google network. Liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand needs, before working with the wider team to suggest solutions and guide them to completion.

Ensure paid and organic content is scheduled and delivered efficiently across multiple social media channels, and sites, using social media planning tool.

Assess the effectiveness of content used on social media channels against objectives. Recognise patterns, trends and use key data and knowledge to optimise performance and shape future digital marketing strategies.

Produce high-quality visual content, including video, photos and graphics ensuring that all content distributed aligns with our standards and guidelines.

Develop, manage and update content for the Council websites, apps and online June 2022 Digital Content JD 2 platforms, working with the various content owners to understand priorities, apply branding, copy-edit and proofing.

Ensure copy is written and edited to the Council's style and exacting standards of accuracy.

Ensure content adheres to appropriate policy and legal requirements, and that necessary checks happen before publishing.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;

HND or equivalent relevant qualification (including Chartered Institute of Marketing Qualification) at level 5 on the Qualifications Framework

Consideration may be given to those who do not hold the above qualification but who can demonstrate 2 years' experience as set out below.

1 years' experience in a Digital Marketing role to include:

Planning, implementing delivering and reporting on organic and paid social media campaigns across multiple channels. Producing high quality written, video and photography content across multiple channels.

Developing and implementing social media reporting metrics to evaluate success and optimise performance.

Excellent copywriting, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
Excellent organisational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
