District Toilet Attendant

The Client: Local Government body based in Newry, serving local residents.

The Role:

To provide a cleansing/caretaking service in the public conveniences throughout the Down District are.

Ensuring the public conveniences are serviced to a high standard of cleanliness and maintained in a safe and secure manner.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Requirements:

• At least 1 years' experience of cleansing and/or cleaning duties
• At least 1 years' experience dealing with the public in a face to face customer focused service
• Previous experience of the duties listed in the job description
• Ability to work on own initiative and working as part of a team
• Ability to maintain work written records
• Good communication skills
• COSHH Awareness
• Able to work overtime (evenings, weekends and public holidays)

• Hold a full valid driving licence and have access to transport to meet the requirements of the post

OR

• Have access to a mode of transport that will enable the post holder to fulfil the role in full (it should be noted that the post will involve travel across the district on a regular basis)

In Return:

• Rates of pay £9.25/£9.50 per hour
