Duty Supervisor (Dry)
Newry
Temporary
The Client: Local Government body based in Newry, serving local residents.
The Role:
- To assist the Duty Manager and act as a team leader for front line staff ensuring each facility is a safe and pleasant experience for users
- To act as senior person on site as per rota
- To contribute to the development and implementation of a nationally accredited quality scheme
Hours of work: 20hrs per week, hours will vary on a weekly basis
Requirements:
Essential:
- 4 GCSE passes (Grades A-C) to include English Language and Maths or equivalent
- At least 6 months relevant experience in a customer facing role
- Experience of staff supervision
- Experience of planning and implementing staff rotas
- Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications (which includes Word and Excel)
- Experience of keeping and maintaining associated records in a work environment
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the role
- Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
- Knowledge of cash handling, including cash till reconciliation
- Attend on going training to maintain National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Must be available to work for the duration of the post, including public and bank holidays and overtime as required (all candidates will be expected to be available for additional hours, should the services require)
Desirable:
- A current recognised First Aid certificate (e.g. British Red Cross, St Johns Ambulance, Order of Malta)
- At least 1 years experience in a customer facing role
Rate of Pay: £9.62 per hour
