Energy & Sustainability Officer

Belfast - Hybrid working

Salary £27,354 - £32,826pa

37 hours per week (Hybrid working)

The perfect candidate will provide energy efficiency advice and training. promoting energy conservation schemes (such as energy efficiency housing grants) liaising with contractors, local organizations, council services and voluntary/community groups, developing, implementing and monitoring energy consumption reduction policies and strategies.

  • Contribute to the delivery of Company's sustainability & energy targets as outlined in our 2022-25 strategy.

  • Take leadership role of Company landlord energy consumption to drive energy reduction.

  • Manage energy monitoring activities including meter readings and submissions to suppliers.

  • Enhance energy management systems, databases and records.

  • Benchmark energy performance across the Company portfolio

  • Perform energy site visits, make recommendations and take corrective action to reduce energy consumption.

  • Provide 'energy advice surgeries' at housing schemes.

  • Complete Solar PV meter readings where required and report information to supplier partners.

  • Monitor Solar PV generation and take action to ensure income and tenant savings are maximised.

  • Develop opportunities to improve performance in areas of property management, energy conservation and new-build sustainability.


  • Minimum of a HND or equivalent in a construction, surveying, building services or property management related discipline or 5 year's relevant experience in construction, property, mechanical or electrical installation.

  • 3 years' experience in construction, property, mechanical or electrical installation or 1 years' experience in energy or environmental management.

  • Experience of all Microsoft packages, to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Valid driving licence and access to private transport.
