Job description

Executive Assistant Required

We are currently recruting for an Executive Assistant to join the team for one of out clients based in Coleraine. The client is the parent company of a collection of independent department stores and the managing director is searching for a bright, business experienced person to act as his executive assistant. Working closely with the MD you will be supporting on the development and delivery of projects as well as the day to day running of all aspects of his work. This will include diary, email, filing management, meeting follow up actions and internal/external communications, but the focus will be to ensure that he has the capacity to focus on the strategic goals of the business.

Job Description and Duties

The Executive Assistants duties will be as follows:

  • Support with the development and delivery of projects
  • Coordinate MD communications, including taking calls and managing inbox
  • Prepare internal corporate documents for board and team meetings and supporting on follow up actions
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries
  • Maintain an organised filing system of paper and electronic documents
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality

Essential Criteria

  • 3 A Levels at Grade c or above or equivalent
    GCSE English & Maths at Grade B or above
  • Previous experience in a business environment
  • A quick thinker and learner, with the ability to use own initiative would be the ideal candidate
  • Good general IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel, with an ability to become familiar with other specific programs and software
  • Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with good multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Friendly and professional demeanour with can do attitude

Desirable Criteria

  • Degree in a business management or finance

Hours of work

  • Potential to work part-time hours (minimum of 16) or full time hours (max of 32)
  • this role will also be a mix of working from both the office and home

Salary

  • £20 -21k but can be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications
