Staffline are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation to recruit a temporary Executive Officer II- Estates to start ASAP for a duration of 6 Months (initially)
Pay rate: 0-12 week's £8.72pr hour
13+ week's £13.11pr hour
Location: Belfast, City Centre
Hours: Mon - Fri (9.00am - 5.00pm)
Essential Criteria
GCE 'A' level passes in 2 separate subjects; and
GCSE/GCE ('O' level) at grades A, B or C in both English and Maths.
Duties
- To manage PBNI's procurement and distribution of necessary goods and services in response to the COVID19 outbreak.
- This role includes liaising with new and existing suppliers, managing current contracts, and awarding new contracts to suppliers and contractors in line with DoF Procurement Guidelines.
- The role includes drafting business cases to cover expenditure and overseeing the quality control and local distribution of goods received into Belfast HQ.
- The role will require the use of the Excel and the AccountNI ordering system (training to be provided), and the successful applicant will be based at PBNI Belfast HQ
EO2s are the first level of supervisory management and posts may involve line management of Administrative Officers and/or Administrative Assistants.
In addition, EO2s are often responsible for the efficient and effective organisation of the day to day work of welfare administration and the application and implementation of policy.
There is likely to be a variety of roles to be filled with the most common activities as follows:
Customer Service
Working in a modern office environment, job holders will be required to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone or face to face with customers, members of the public, staff and senior management.
Service Delivery
Ensuring that work is completed in accordance with branch instructions, targets and standards.
Decision Making
Responsibility for decision making in business areas affected by welfare reform and modernisation. Duties may involve the scrutiny of material, determining evidence requirements and ensuring all adequate evidence is gathered to enable the correct decision to be made in accordance with policies and procedures.
