Job description

Assistant Accountant

Due to recent expansion my client urgently requires an Assistant Account to be based at their head office in mid Down. This is an excellent opportunity for someone working towards their professional qualification or looking to broaden their experience

The role:

  • Maintenance of general ledger records
  • Reconciliation of receipts, bank accounts and other financial transactions
  • Assisting with credit control procedures
  • Assisting with product costings, carrying out regular and annual stock checks
  • Assisting with UK and ROI Payroll
  • Preparation of UK & ROI VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Ad-hoc duties as they arise to support the day to day running of the business

Key Skills:

  • Part-Qualified or IATI qualified with membership to a professional body
  • Natural ability to think and plan ahead, to prioritise and to multitask
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Be process / system driven
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business
  • Excellent IT skills with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
