FLOATING SUPPORT WORKERS
£22, 368 - £24, 054 per annum
37.5 hrs per week

We are seeking individuals who are committed, enthusiastic and self-motivated to join our energetic team.
You will have experience of working with marginalised people with a range of support needs and risks and have a strong understanding of housing-related support. You must be able to work to Welcome's ethos of, high tolerance
, low threshold services delivering services unconditionally.
The service aims to prevent homelessness by providing housing related support which helps people to maintain their own accommodation and live independently and inclusively in the community.

Main Duties and Tasks
Responsible for developing an individually tailored wrap-around Support Service, meeting the needs of people who are in their own tenancy. The Floating Support Worker will ensure tenancy sustainment, promote independence and link individuals in with the community.

Skills/Ability (section 2) | · Ability to manage people with challenging behaviour and poor levels of engagement · Ability to develop person-centered, needs/risk assessments, support plans and manage a key worker case load · Ability to advocate on behalf of clients while promoting client independence and empowerment · Ability to work with clients to develop basic life skills · Ability to take the lead and work in partnership with other agencies · Ability to self-manage, work in a team and have excellent organisational skills · Excellent written/verbal communication, numerical and interpersonal skills · Ability to adhere to Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Confidentiality and other policies/procedures · Be competent in the use of IT applications

· Knowledge of needs and support services relevant to homeless people who have been rehoused. · Sound knowledge and understanding of housing related support · Have a sound understanding of the benefit system · Understanding of Harm Reduction principles · Understanding of issues involved in resettling vulnerable homeless people · Understanding of pre-tenancy support needs · Understanding and commitment to working within our ethos of High Tolerance, Low Threshold services

· A satisfactory Enhanced Access NI check is required for this post · The post holder will be required to wear identifiable clothing (uniform) whilst working (under review) · 2 years driving experience with current clean licence |
