Job description
Health and Safety Document Controller
We are recruiting for a Health and Safety Document controller to join the team for one of our clients based in Magherafelt on a full-time permanent basis. As the client continues to grow, they now have an opening for someone with enthusiasm to join the Health and Safety team as a Document Controller.
The successful candidate will be tasked to:
- Create Risk Assessment & Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare Toolbox Talks
- Prepare training materials
- Proof-read documentation
- Route documents along the workflow, within the process of approval and review
- Manage information change requests, make changes and track revisions above documentation using version control measures
- Notify the team of updates / new information as its status changes on electronic document management systems
- Ensure a full audit trail for the lifetime of the document and versions
- Maintain consistency in processes in both hard copy and electronic versions of information
- Ensure all documents are stored in a safe, secure and reliable central location with easy access to latest version documentation
- Act as Administrator of the Health & Safety Document Management Systems
- Undertake any other reasonable request made by line manager to support departmental or company objectives from time to time.
Essential Criteria:
- Be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or demonstrate equivalent work experience
- English & maths GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent
- Excellent computer skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power-point
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to get work completed within a given timeframe
- Ability to work calmy under pressure whilst undertaking multiple tasks
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach that will yield the greatest benefit
- Demonstrate enthusiasm with the drive to use own initiative and within the team to deliver results
- Ability to complete tasks while demonstrating a thorough attention to detail
- Hold a valid driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience of working in a similar role
- NEBOSH Certificate
Hours of Work:
- 0830am- 5pm - Monday to Friday
- Ideally full time permanent but there may be potential for part time hours for the right candidate
