HGV Mechanic

Lisburn

£38,000 to £40,000

An excellent opportunity for a HGV Mechanic to join a leading transport company based in their Lisburn site. The role will involve carrying out a range of repairs across the fleet, your main duties will include:

• Maintenance and repairs across fleet of vehicles and trailers
• Carry out inspections and corrective action when required
• General mechanical repairs and fitting parts on HGV's & trailers
• Fault finding and diagnostic work to identify root cause
• Attend breakdowns and roadside repairs if required
• Complete relevant documentation and records
• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Liaise with transport team and management on vehicle progress, parts and costings etc.

Essential Criteria

• Level 3 qualified in HGV Repair or similar (such as Light Vehicle or Plant)
• 2-3 years mechanical experience on Heavy Vehicles / Trucks
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanics
• Working knowledge of diagnostics
