Job description

HR Employee Engagement Specialist

Location: Negotiable

£37,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)

Staffline Recruitment is delighted to working with Positive Futures, recruiting for an HR Employee Engagement Specialist on a permanent full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week. Location is negotiable and travel to other sites may be required. Hybrid working may also be considered.

Celebrating 25 years, Positive Futures has been at the forefront of working with individuals and families, supporting people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and people on the autistic spectrum.

The Job

A full copy of the Job Description is available on request, however you will:

  • Provide high quality and expert advice on staff engagement and lead on the delivery of staff engagement projects
  • Provide day to day oversight and management of staff engagement activities.
  • Lead on development and delivery of employment engagement strategies and initiatives
  • Work alongside other HR Managers, the HR Team, Learning & Development, and other departments
  • Provide HR oversight and management of staff performance
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training support for managers in terms of best practice approaches to promote staff engagement and performance.
  • Review and lead on implementation of the performance management framework (ensuring a priority focus upon mechanisms and processes to promote support, clear direction, and accountability in relation to staff roles and responsibilities).
  • Review and oversee management of absence across the organisation ensuring short term and long-term absences are managed in line with policies, legislation, and best practice.
  • Act as HR Lead on corporate social responsibility programmes including climate change initiatives.
  • Lead on, and contribute to, specific projects.

The Person

  • 3 years' experience of advising on employment legislation, staff engagement and performance. Preference will be given to candidates who can evidence experience across the island of Ireland.
  • 3 years' recent experience in employee relations within organisations of a similar size and scale (preferably with experience in a multi-site environment).
  • 2 years' experience using HR data systems.
  • Full, valid driving licence or an ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post.

In return

  • £37,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
