An excellent opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to join a leading supplier of specialist products. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the Health and Safety standards of the business.
- Coordinating activities required to meet and maintain ISO 9001 standard
- Ensure that safe practices and procedures are followed by staff
- Manage the systems including maintaining and controlling a proactive site document system, conducting internal audits to measure compliance and identifying areas for improvement
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Carrying out regular workplace inspections/audits
- Delivering internal training
- Producing weekly reports
- Accident investigations
- Maintenance of safety registers and other safety related duties.
- Manage and instruct the quality control team - responsible for three quality officers
Essential Criteria
- 3-5 years' experience maintaining & implementing quality systems within a manufacturing environment
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or diploma is highly desirable
- Experience of implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 is essential
- Experience in a manufacturing / production environment
