Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Promote safety in the workplace and comply with legislation, identify risk areas to management for resolution.
• Assist in any cleaning duties as requested.
• Assisting in the training and development of fellow employees when required.
• Ensuring the smooth running of cleaning operations on the site; Adhering to cleaning hours/chemicals/water usage/cleaning materials/cleaning equipment.
• Ensure Chemical security onsite and to manage the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment on site - maintenance of equipment and to oversee the safe storage, decant, transport and use of chemicals on site.
• Staff training including assessments; identify awareness of health & safety and food safety etc.
• High level cleaning.
• Problem solving.
• CIP/silo base cleaning.
• Cleaning of - blast freezers/chillers/evaporator units/ice machines.
• Jet washing/ amenities areas.
• Any other duties as required by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences

• Food Safety Level 2
• Strong attention to detail and a conscientious nature to ensure all tasks are completed is essential
• Relative experience in a similar environment and working knowledge of relative legislative criteria and industry standards for food production
• Ability to work well in a team as well as on own.
• Ability to plan and organize the workload in accordance with business needs.
• Show an ability to problem solve.
• Effective Communication / negotiation skills
• Commercially astute
• Good command of English
