Internal Sales Team Leader

The Role: Our client based in Newry requires an Internal Sales Advisor to join their company and become an integral part of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising profitable sales from inbound enquiries while cross and up selling core products. Can show a high level of selling competency and organisational skills working within a team environment whilst providing a professional sales experience to prospects and customers.
Responsibilities:
- To head up the customer complaint/returns role in the business. Liaising with team members and customers to deal with customer returns
- Support customers and team with technical issues.
- Liaising with couriers and customers with any delivery issues
- Targeted to hit specific revenue and profit numbers to be measured on a weekly basis
- Being responsible for handling incoming sales enquiries; identifying the sales opportunity and winning the order in a professional manner
- Preparing customer quotations ensuring profitability is maximised by up-selling and cross-selling, with a keen focus on product mix
- Be responsible for providing evidence around your sales activity for a weekly meeting with the team leader
- Ensuring all quotes are assiduously followed up and feedback from customer discussions are accurately recorded on the CRM system.
- Ensure all quotations are followed up in a timely manner to maximise sales opportunity
- Processing sales orders quickly and accurately, working in line with company procedures
- Keeping the data on the CRM accurate, updating number of machines and customer categories
- To make outgoing telesales calls as necessary based on call scripts and update information on the ERP System as necessary
- Dealing with and resolving customer issues speedily and documenting and reporting them to the team leader as necessary
Essential requirements:
- Experience in performance managing a small team
- Experience of working with technical or complex information
- Dynamic, motivated and hungry for sales success
- Proven sales experience - either telephone or field based
- Track record of over-achieving targets
- Strong phone selling skills and active listening
- Ability to upsell and cross sell relevant items to increase margin
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Building effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to influence
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled in negotiation
Hours of work: Mon - Fri
Salary: £25k - 30k per annum (plus bonus)
