IT Helpdesk Technician | Tech Industry| 6 month contract

The Client: Located in Dublin City Centre, our client is a world leader in the Tech Industry with offices in 8 locations globally. They are a market leader in their field and strive to provide the most efficient tools for data management and analytics.

The Role: The IT Helpdesk Technician will be required to support all IT equipment provisions, cloud account management and user computing support across the Dublin office.

This role will be offered on a 6 month contract basis initially, however, there is scope for this to extend. The standard working week is 40 hours.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ordering computers and related equipment for new users and general office purposes
  • Forecasting demand for new equipment and new users across the office
  • Workstation setup for new hires; deliver remote and in-person new hire training for on-boarding process
  • Providing general support for computer users and troubleshooting as well as oversight for local network and network contractors
  • Secure configuration of Apple Laptops (encryption, auto lock/screen-saver, tracking)
  • Application configuration and installation for macOS
  • Auditing of laptop security configurations
  • Auditing of security configuration of employee-owned devices (phones/tablets/laptops)
  • Workstation setup for new hires; deliver remote and in-person new hire training for on-boarding process
  • Cloud admin account management and inventory management
  • Repair and maintenance of computers
  • Running A/V for large company meetings

Hours of work: 40 hours per week


  • At least 2 years of IT tech experience ideally in a customer focused industry
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior management
  • Ability to absorb and relay technical information easily
  • Capable of working effectively in a stand alone capacity with the confidence in building relationships globally
  • Real IT experience with Apple products (Windows is a plus)
  • Scripting and Automation Integration experience is a plus
