Job description



Working as part of a team which acts as the central communication point regarding all orders for sales, technical, production and dispatch personnel.

Planning the production of products in agreement with production and mould making departments to achieve completion dates as agreed with the customer.

Use sage stock level and order information to create weekly and daily plans which maintain on-time deliveries while maintaining a steady workload for production.

Attend the weekly production planning meetings, ensuring effective communication in relation to production plans between related departments and raising any concerns which may impact the production programme.

Print labels for products to be poured each day.

Order raw materials for projects, such as steel and mesh, ensuring the lowest possible stock levels while allowing production to proceed in line with programme.

Liaise with the Purchasing department to ensure that materials are purchased at the optimum price and that accounts are set up with suppliers appropriately.

Circulate reports on daily and weekly adherence to plan and tonnage figures.

Collate figures at the start of each month to support completion of monthly stock valuation.

Process daily stock counts to ensure accurate stock values, investigate and highlight variances.

Record non-conformances and/or complaints received as tickets on the SalesLogix CRM package and assist in the resolution and completion of Corrective Actions Reports. Support to the dispatch desk - serving collection customers, hauliers, operating barriers & weighbridge.

Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed through consultation with the Planning Coordinator/Sales Manager.

Essential Criteria:

An intelligent, analytical mind with proven numeracy and literacy skills Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

Must have previous experience of stock control and planning

Strong IT skills especially in Microsoft Excel

Good time management, interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team Economic awareness and awareness of business principles

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to contribute to the success of the company in this key role

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience in production planning

A business related or engineering degree

Experience in customer service

Experience in concrete manufacturing
