Key Account Manager
Staffline Ireland are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company for a Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager will play a critical role within the company to manage customer requirements and to work with the operational teams to ensure resources are planned efficiently.
This is a diverse role where you will be responsible for working with customers to understand their requirements and use the principles of lean manufacturing to manage sales orders, production forecasts, inventory, lead times, configuration changes and new product introduction. Commercial management of providing quotations, agreeing pricing, implementing pricing and resolving invoice queries will be part of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a dynamic forecast
- Analysing customer requirements to create internal forecasts that allow efficient manufacturing
- Communicating forecasts to internal and external customers
- Updating spreadsheets and the MRP system
- Liaising with all relevant parties to ensure promote the principles of lean manufacturing
- Managing logistics for delivery of parts
- Managing logistics for supply of stillages to the production teams
- Maximising opportunities with new and existing clients to win new business
- Troubleshooting, anticipating anomalies and effectively introducing timely controls and solutions.
- Be a credible brand ambassador by maintaining up to date information on company products and services
- Support of sales and marketing initiatives
- Analysis of sales trends
- Any other duties role may involve
Person Specification:
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing role
- Ability to build strong personal relationships
- Self-motivated with a high degree of structure and organisational skills
- Lean focused mind-set, constantly spotting opportunities for improvement
- Ability to understand complex information
- Ability to present complex information to customers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Responsive
- IT capabilities including proficient in use of Excel, Navision
- Presentation skills and the use of PowerPoint
- Accuracy of all transactions
- Competent with numerical analysis
- Clean driving licence
