Exciting NEW Job Opportunity ALERT!

We have a great opportunity with a well established Water Engineering Company, Who are seeking a number of Leakage Detection Technicians

We are looking for well-disciplined, performance driven individuals with a good attitude and a methodical approach to their work.

Primary Duties

You will be working outdoors and will be required to carry out a full range of leak detection activities to include:

  • Detection of Reactive and Proactive leakage using various leak detection methods including step tests
  • DMA Boundary Valve Checks and Zero Pressure Tests
  • Deployment, collection and analysis of flow, pressure and noise loggers
  • Resolution of customer side leakage

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics

  • Professional attitude to work and good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adhere to Management Structure and follow all Company Policy, Procedures and Directions
  • Excellent time management skills and good numeracy and computer skills
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Ability to cope with the physical nature of the role including entry into confined spaces
  • Be able to work safely and responsibly at all times
  • Flexibility in working hours to include some night work

Previous Experience (Essential)

Experience in the following is required:

  • Leading leakage detection activities including evaluating water losses, planning and carrying out step tests, leakage sounding, leak noise correlating, deploying and analysing flow/pressure data loggers, IT experience to include a familiarity with GIS software, resolution of customer side leakage
  • Water Network management, including valving, installation of watermains, carrying out water network maintenance and repairs, IT experience to include a familiarity with GIS software
