Job description

Corporate Governance - Establish an effective GOVERNANCE MODEL which will deliver propriety and accountability to oversee and support the Shared Campus Areas and ensure delivery of the programme benefits.

Lead on the review of proposed governance and management arrangements (charitable limited company) and the outworkings of that review.

Objectives of the review are:

To re-examine previously identified options, including the preferred option (establishment of a charitable limited company), and any new emerging options for the ownership, governance and management of the shared education campus;

To re-confirm the appropriateness of the preferred option for the ownership, governance and management of the SSEC, or:

To recommend any alternative option(s) for ownership, governance and management, that stops short of the establishment of a company, but still allows school managing authorities to fulfil their proposed role within the campus as set out at para 2.4 above;

To provide advice on any alternative options that are deemed to offer a feasible solution to the ownership, governance and management of the SSEC and provide the same level of surety to Managing Authorities as the previously agreed option.
