Job description

Introduction;

An exciting opportunity to join an expanding team within contract logistics.  Based on site of a world class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks.  The role involves managing multi-modal transport for inbound and outbound global logistics.

 

Key accountability area; PORSL

Cross Trade shipments from US and China to Europe, UK and ROW

Data Management (small amount of data entry) to support inbound and outbound transportation

Data Management (data entry) on Claims system

Investigating Non Conformances, i.e. root cause analysis and corrective action provision

Quotes for tranportation

Documents - CMR, Bills of Lading & Letter of Credit

Freight Bill Auditing - exception solving between system and invoices

Freight Reporting - Cost per shipment

Managing carrier performance in line with contractual score card (KPIs)

Cross Training on all functions

 

Logistics Co-Ordinator will:

Plan structured collection and delivery schedules

Ensure all information contained on the system is accurate at all times

Develop and maintain good relationships with relevant external (and internal) stakeholders such as hauliers, customers, sales, production and finance teams

Ensure effective communication regarding shipping schedules and associated requirements to customers and liaise with customers regarding any delays to planned arrival dates

Maintain KPIs

Approve invoices

Resolve queries or disputes in an efficient and timely manner

 

What you'll need to succeed:

University Degree

Experience in transport planning preferred but not essential

Minimum of Grade C or above in GCSE or equivalent (English and Maths)

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets

Experience in prioritising a personal workload

High level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and be a good team player

Excellent IT skills, be highly proficient in excel
