Maintenance Manager

Monaghan

Job Role purpose:

The Maintenance Manager will form part of our clients leadership team and is responsible for environmental responsibilities and legal compliance assurance. The post holder will have previous experience preferably within a FMCG. The role will entail managing and engaging a team of multiskilled engineers across all functional areas to improve overall equipment performance. Development of existing preventative/planned maintenance and process control systems will be a primary focus. The post holder will have extensive experience in capital expenditure managing budgets. We want a change agent to lead lean management continuous improvement initiatives and bring innovative alternatives to the business.

➢ Deliver Performance KPIs

➢ Area ownership - capacity/volume, Succession planning, process control, housekeeping, Safety

➢ Manage key interfaces with support functions to enable success

➢ People / HR management and development / training and issue resolution for team

➢ Management & reporting on site's performance to agreed targets

➢ Control and work within agreed annual budgets

➢ Ensure high levels of machine reliability

Maintenance Team Lead Maintenance Engineers

➢ Undertaking, controlling, and monitoring major overalls and installs of heavy machinery ➢ Provide a responsive maintenance service to production teams to support their efficiency and quality

➢ Develop the maintenance function on site

➢ Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and routines

➢ Manage the stock of spare parts

➢ Contribute to process improvement

➢ Contribute to the assessment of new technologies and plan options

➢ Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements

➢ Develop the capabilities of the maintenance team

➢ Work closely with production colleagues to ensure their effective use and understanding equipment.

➢ Manage and apply all Company policies on environmental issues

➢ Appraise, develop, and ascertain training requirements of the team

➢ Manage all PMS schedules ensuring all are completed on time

➢ Manage and develop spare parts stock system

➢ Budget control for spare parts purchases to ensure adequate and within specification

➢ Contribute to design and developments of projects on site and identify problems and evaluate solutions, taking costs, benefits, safety, quality, reliability and environmental impact into account

➢ Attendance at breakdowns and working on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, belts, bearings, chains, sensors etc.

➢ Manage the safety, effectively, efficiently and value for money of all contractor work.

➢ Work in partnership with the production and development departments on the integration of new products and processes to ensure success of the project.

➢ Participate in onsite audits taking an active role in achieving standards.

Health and Safety:

➢ The post holder is responsible for the safe design, installation, and disposal of plant machinery in accordance with statutory requirements and best practise. Close liaison will be required with the Technical/ Quality Manager, Health and Safety, the Designers/suppliers of the plant, machinery or equipment, the relevant Company Managers and the Contractors.

Criteria:

➢ Experience in FMCG

➢ Third Level qualification preferred

➢ Multi skilled qualification's

➢ Experience operating at senior management level

➢ Accreditations of lean management principles very advantageous

➢ Experience in Managing a multi skilled engineering Team

➢ Ability to work cross functionally across a business communicating with all stake holders
