Manufacturing Information Systems Team Lead

Location - Antrim, Northern Ireland

Salary: Highly Competitive

Staffline Recruitment has been retained to recruit a Manufacturing Information Systems Team Lead based in County Antrim.

The Role

  • Handles the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools
  • Supervises the development of software and software tools used for design, infrastructure, and platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and databases
  • Develop and Manage the legacy MES solution and manage the development of new process and business workflows, design the traceability, process control and analytical requirements for the new products in the production environment
  • Develop the URS requires for process integration to the MES systems for new and existing assets. Create the FDS and test plans for application and integration of systems
  • Works on the digital thread between Design PE and Production, data collection organisation and analyticals.
  • Manger the application servers for the system across mutable global make sites
  • Researching, designing and writing new software applications using Clarif-I, T-SQL, VB 6, VB.Net C#.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, Python and any other language directed by MIS
  • Contribute to the overall team/departmental strategy
  • Keep abreast of the latest innovations and developments
  • Ensure compliance at all times with company and statutory requirements
  • Participate in the day-to-day activities of the team and work effectively as a team member to ensure continuous improvement
  • Meet performance measures and KPI's set for you and your team
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner with members of your team and other parts of the business
  • Participate in training opportunities


  • A university degree
  • 5 years + experience in developing MES applications for automotive manufacturing
  • Software Language Clarif-I, T-SQL, VB 6, VB.Net C#.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, HTML
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
