Market Analyst, Lisburn, Temporary
Hours of work: 37.5 hrs pw (Monday- Friday 9-5)
Rate of pay: £26,808 per annum
The client: Public sector body based in Lisburn
The role: The Market Analyst will work as part of a small team responsible for gathering market intelligence, assimilating and analysing that information and communicating market information, trends and analysis back to the industry. The Market Analyst will provide ongoing market information updates to industry through regular publications, including the weekly Bulletin. They will also have responsibility to provide market updates through the media and press.
Main duties include:
- To gather market information and perform analysis of the local trade and wider market trends.
- To disseminate market information updates to industry on an ongoing basis through regular publications, media and press.
- To contribute to the development of a market information database relating to agri-markets and the general trade.
- To identify and advance technical projects in support of Northern Ireland marketing activities.
Strong computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, database management and preferably some experience of using design software. Experience of data analysis would also be required and some knowledge of the agricultural sector would also be strongly desirable. The candidate must be able to work to strict deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations and be able to prioritise workloads.
