Marketing and Communications Manager

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Manager for a company in the leisure, tourism and events industry. The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead a small, fast paced team to create compelling communications and dynamic campaigns which will attract new audiences, generate revenue, drive customer engagement and create sustainable growth for the organisation following its recent refreshment programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to attract new audiences, generate revenue, drive customer engagement, champion inclusivity and create sustainable growth for the organisation.
  • Work closely with the tourism agencies to maintain profile as a must see attraction, developing partnership and funding opportunities to amplify messaging and awareness of offering to key markets and aligning activity with broader tourism themes and destination campaigns.
  • Ensure all marketing and communications activity aligns with brand, vision and business objectives, and is driven by data and insights to achieve commercial goals.
  • Keep up-to-date on industry-wide marketing trends and analyse and react to competitor activity.
  • Benchmark against global competitors and develop partnerships to support marketing and communications plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of the Marketing and Communications function, which includes campaigns, digital marketing, PR and media, communications and design remits.
  • Plan and budget for all marketing activity, monitor expenses and maximise resources to achieve financial objectives.
  • Research, curate and craft compelling narratives and storytelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, weaving together historical, cultural and thematic elements to create inspiring communications.
  • Lead a team of five multi-skilled staff within the department and collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders to deliver impactful results.
  • Work closely with and support the Digital Content Executive with management of company websites, booking engine and social media platforms.
  • Work closely with and support the Media Communications Executive with internal and external communications campaigns, including corporate and crisis comms, as well as media and film crew management.
  • Work closely with and support the Marketing and Campaigns Executive in the development and execution of domestic and out-of-state B2C and B2B multichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with and support the Customer Engagement Officer to ensure a robust customer feedback strategy is in place to measure performance against KPIs and take action to address any issues identified.
  • Take overall responsibility for the prioritisation and efficient management of the Design Schedule, working closely with and supporting the Graphic Designer to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing performance metrics, producing regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and optimise campaign effectiveness.
  • Any other duties role may involve.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3rd level qualification in Marketing, Tourism or a relevant discipline.
  • 3 years' experience of managing a proactive marketing and communications team in a commercial business environment.
  • Proven experience in managing integrated marketing and communications campaigns from concept to implementation (including budget management)
  • Passion and enthusiasm for storytelling and delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Proven experience of developing opportunities through collaborative partnerships.
  • Ability to think outside the box to develop creative initiatives while working within an established brand.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good knowledge of the local leisure, tourism and hospitality sectors.
  • Experience of account management and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience working across different audience demographics and segments.
  • Proficient in the use of IT.
