Marketing and Communications Officer
Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Officer for a company in the leisure, tourism and events industry. The Marketing and Communications Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day account management of all internal department's marketing and communication requirements. The Marketing and Communications Officer will provide support to the Marketing and Communications Manager to plan, media-buy and deliver tactical multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns in domestic, national and international markets, as well as supporting the team with brand management on and offline, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Project management of departmental marketing requirements and projects
- Liaison between all departments and the Marketing and Communications function
- Copywriting and proofreading for collateral, literature and radio scripts
- Supporting the team to keep work schedules up-to-date, with particular focus on supporting the Graphic Designer in management of the design schedule, working with Designer to prioritise requests and monitor timescales
- Day to day management and monitoring of all marketing collateral for campaigns and events, including internal platforms across all venues
- Day to day management and development of all collateral, including ordering of literature
- Support the Content Marketing Executive with website and social media platforms where required
- Work as part of a cross-functional agile marketing team to identify and create synergies that will support integrated plans and campaigns developed across all venues and departments
- Support with the planning and delivery of integrated marketing and communications campaigns, including buying media, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Manager
- Work within a set budget ensuring that all marketing activities represent value for money and help to meet visitor targets
- Monitor all marketing activities and provide post campaign analysis reports for a variety of audiences
- Regular liaison with tourism agencies and trade partners to maximise partnership opportunities to attract more visitors
- Fulfilment of leaflet distribution at points of entry, accommodation providers, stakeholders, tourist information centres in NI and ROI
- Representation of company at events, consumer shows and information stands in NI and ROI as required
- Support with media liaison, PR and filming requests as required
- Ensure all marketing and communications are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, tone of voice, and optimised for the relevant platform
- Be responsible for upholding brand management across all the businesses both internally and externally
- Any other duties role may involve
Essential Criteria:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
- 3years' experience working in a proactive marketing, communications or digital environment to include the following:
- Working on integrated marketing campaigns including planning, media buying, creative asset development and execution within timescales and budgets
- Executing integrated, digitally driven campaigns, including messaging, stakeholder identification, targeting and reporting
- Writing, editing and optimizing content for on and offline platforms
- Experience of managing accounts / projects
- Experience of collateral / marketing material production and distribution
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships
- Experience of working within brand guidelines
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working in an agency environment with multiple clients and managing competing priorities
- Experience of managing schedules of work
- Experience of partnership activity
- Relevant professional experience of planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns
- Excellent IT skills including experience of using social media and websites in a business environment
- Previous experience working in the tourism and hospitality sector
