1 Support internal business partners by preparing annual and project based marketing plans to support departmental aims and objectives.
2 Develop, implement, manage and report on marketing campaigns to support the delivery of the annual marketing plan. This includes development of key messaging and content (including writing copy, co-ordinating photography, video and graphics), online and offline advertising and media coverage.
3 Prepare campaign plans set against agreed budgets providing value for money successful activities.
4 Evaluate campaign effectiveness using a variety of metrics and prepare report with appropriate recommendations.
5 Maintain and update the Council website and social media messaging on an ongoing basis for responsible services areas.
6 Keep up to date with service, sales, usage, uptake data, specific trends and sector developments to inform your marketing communications plans.
7 Produce corporate publications including residents' magazine and arts and culture programmes.
PUBLIC RELATIONS & MEDIA
8 Support the PR and Media team through the identification of media opportunities for marketing projects and initiatives.
9 Brief the Media team in the event of any potential media issues arising.
10 Support the media team by drafting press releases in line with agreed key messages and Council objectives for Marketing related activities.
ADDITIONAL AREAS
11 To attend Council events and meeting including Council and Committee meetings.
12 Carry out market research to keep up to date with developments, changes and potential issues in your allocated service areas to support the delivery of the marketing
plans.
13 Plan, source and oversee photography and video production for the Council's mediac library, to include publications and PR. Attend photocalls, video recordings, prepare briefs and provide direction to photographer.
14 Work with the Marketing Manager and other officers to identify corporate advertising/sponsorship opportunities and develop proposals.
15 Provide assistance to the Marketing Manager in researching and updating policies and procedures.
16 Organise civic or Mayoral events in conjunction with other officers or external agencies.
