Our client, based in Swords, is a leading Irish established small business , currently seeking a materials handler . Reporting to the warehouse manager, this is a varied role liaising with customers, suppliers and couriers to ensure orders are received, picked and delivered in a professional and timely manner.

• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System

Skills Required

• Able to read and interpret instructions on pick lists and shipments with a view to pull and ship orders accurately.
• Physical agility aimed at carrying and moving heavy boxes between destinations.
• Functional knowledge of operating pallet jacks and forklifts to assist in moving goods from storage areas to shipment pallets.
• Able to handle circumstances brought on by damage or untoward occurrence.
• Good attention to detail targeted at handling labelling and packing duties effectively.
• Good planning and time management skills.
• Operation of computer and barcode scanning system.
• Comprehensive knowledge of following and endorsing warehouse safety protocols.
• Good understanding of the need to maintain warehouse security in terms of goods, appliances, and equipment.
• Technologically savvy with the ability to maintain electronic records and create reports pertaining to incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two years' work experience in a warehouse or similar environment
• Clean B driving license
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel) (desirable)
• Knowledge of Accounting software - Sage 50 - (advantage)
