We are currently looking to recruit Mechanical Maintenance Team Member, Within the role, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work and provide expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity.
Our client Lisburn processing and distribution business is the principle processing facility in Ireland, processing machinery consists a multi-strand blanking line, Cut to length decoiling line & Slitter.
Our Client markets require both consistency of product quality and best available lead times and responsiveness achieved in part through product range availability.
The role holder will play a crucial role in facilitating business success in these demanding market conditions. A relentless drive for continuous improvement of machine availability, yield and product quality is required in equal part to maintaining a safe working environment.
The role is fully flexible between tasks. Reporting to the business Operations Manager, the role leads preventative maintenance activity, facilitating engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability and productivity are optimised. When not engaged in direct engineering activity, the role will support the operations team in the production process. As such, the role will require full shift flexibility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. The jobholder will work as part of a team to ensure engineering performance on an ongoing basis, support engineering development plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
Applicants will be qualified to ONC/NVQ 3 level , which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate
You will be required to have relevant plant experience in mechanical systems and be capable of the safe execution of engineering repair work.
We require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.
£20.000-£ 30.000 + Bonus Scheme
