Job Title: MI & Data Analyst
Location: Belfast
Length: 8 Months
The Client: NI Water
The Role:
The CSD MI & Data Business Analyst is a multi-activity role responsible for the development
and co-ordination of a wide range of business critical Management Information, ownership
of business critical property standing data and provision of specialist professional and
technical advice and guidance to many projects within Northern Ireland Water (NI Water).
The MI & Data Business Analyst will prepare reports and carry out root cause analysis, using
tools such as SQL and Power BI, that will input to the delivery of a quality development plan
aimed at providing the customer with pro-active and timely best practice Customer Service
(internal and external). The post holder will provide information to support the delivery of
the operational customer service and fleet strategy. This includes, strategically presenting
analysis to L3/Senior Management, Fleet Category Council (FCC) etc to inform business
decisions such as utilisation and PC21 fleet planning.
Hours of work: 37.50 hours per week
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in SQL query development and reporting systems
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in either Microsoft Power View or Power BI
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in:
- a) CorVu reporting system (or equivalent)
- b) Rapid billing system
- c) the design, development, testing and roll-out of required regulatory and business
reports
- d) creating and maintaining reporting databases using certified software tools
- e) interpreting business requirements in relation to MI
- Experience in planning and developing of reports, carry out fault analysis and implement
new processes and procedures to deliver improved business performance, MI reporting
and data quality
- Demonstrable experience of communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with
the ability to communicate at all levels within the business
- Evidence in the maintenance of data standards, including adherence to Data Protection
legislation and management of Business Sensitive Data
- Strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with
strong numeric and proven analytical skills
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- A 3rd level qualification in a Business, IT, Engineering or Science discipline (or
equivalent)
- 3 years' experience in requirements as set out above
In Return:
- Rate of pay: £15.82 per hour
Successful candidates may need to apply for an Access NI Certificate with Staffline regardless if you already have a valid certificate. It will be a cost of between £18 - £33 depending on clearance level.
